Current American Heart Association and European Resuscitation Council guideline statements
provide Class I recommendations to pursue urgent coronary angiography for out-of-hospital
cardiac arrest (OHCA) patients when ST segment elevation (STE) are present on electrocardiography
(ECG) after return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC).

In the absence of STE or alternative non-cardiac etiology, urgent angiography is
