Friedrich Trendelenburg (1844–1924)

      Friedrich Trendelenburg is regarded to be one of the ‘greats’ in surgery of the 19th and 20th century. 1999 marks the 75th year of the death of Trendelenburg who was born 155 years ago, in May 1844, as the son of a distinguished professor of philosophy and Rector Magnificus of the University of Berlin, and his wife Ferdinandie.
